An MCP server for your SMS.
SMS Webhook has an MCP server on your phone. Claude, Cursor, OpenClaw, Hermes and other MCP clients can search your text messages and find one-time codes.
Connect a client
- In the app, open Status and turn on HTTP API and MCP.
- Turn on MCP for AI apps.
- Tap Copy MCP config.
- Paste the config into the MCP settings of your client.

The server uses Streamable HTTP. Your computer and your phone must be on the same network, or on the same VPN.
Tools
search_messages- Finds SMS and RCS messages. Filters: text, sender, time, source and box.
get_message- Gets one message by ID.
list_conversations- Shows SMS threads, newest first.
get_conversation- Shows the messages of one thread.
get_latest_otp- Finds the last one-time code, from a sender and in a time range.
search_contacts- Finds contacts by name or number.
get_forwarding_log- Shows the messages that the app caught and the rules that matched.
Changes need your approval
If you turn on AI can add rules and targets, clients also get list_rules, list_targets, create_rule, create_target and turn_off. Each new rule or target stays off until you tap Approve on the phone. A client cannot turn items on, change them or delete them.
This is important because an AI app that reads your SMS also reads text that anyone can send to you. A message with hidden instructions cannot send your codes to a different place.
Security
- The server is off by default. A token protects each request.
- You can limit access to the phone only.
- The server uses HTTP, not HTTPS. Use it on a network that you trust, or on a VPN. Do not open the port to the internet.
